Life – Line … Time

A Film Installation

We are delighted to welcome Nicky Bell back to the gallery this October. Her exhibition earlier this year focused on landscape and specifically on how “intimate space is not always a personal place”. Her “shared” landscapes, deftly painted in watercolour, summed up the ephemeral, shape-shifting views of land and sea perfectly.

Now back at Colonnade House – Creative Hub, Nicky is presenting work through the mediums of video art and photography and explains that:

In July 2016 Artist I moved to Worthing, faced with an unknown landscape, or
seascape, it proved inspiring. Over the last months I have captured
through art; life and movement around the area, taking time to study the quiet times
and the hectic through the medium of time-based media.

These reflections have culminated in:

The film ‘Life – Line … Time’ [which] is a collaboration piece created with student musician and
producer Connor Burke. Connor’s soundscape is his response to the conceptual film, providing a heightened sense of place, time and environment expressed through the visuals.
Sometimes we just need to stop, take a chance to notice our environments, there is
much to be missed.

The exhibition opens Tuesday 10th October.
