Michelle Dawson is an Artist, Illustrator and Tutor based in Worthing. She likes to use a dip-pen and Indian ink to record the places she goes and delights in the unusual and often overlooked elements of a scene. For this exhibition Michelle has created some new line and wash works and these will be exhibited alongside her popular prints of seaside scenes.

In Michelle’s own words:

“Ever since I moved to Worthing in 2001 I have been inspired to sketch the lively seaside scenes of the area. I like to capture all the quirky little details that I see, such as a wonky roof, electrical wires, lamp posts and shop signs. Over the last few months I have been particularly focussed on drawing buildings and have been out and about with my sketchbook on the lookout for interesting architecture to draw. I have enjoyed experimenting with ink line and watercolour wash and have created a new series of images based on some of my favourite Worthing buildings.”
