Explore our latest round of events for creative people – get support for a new idea with RISE, join Worthing’s new Independents network, find out how to make digital sustainable, try out laser cutting or 3D printing and experience augmented reality with the return of Persistent Peril’s Animated Gallery.

GB MET: Mature Students’ Exhibition
Exhibition & Workshops // 18 – 30  January 2022 // Closed Monday 24

Mature students from across the creative disciplines at Greater Brighton Metropolitan College put their work on show for two weeks and will also be running free creative workshops in model making, developing a daily drawing practice, and mono-printing (drop in Saturday 22 10.00-11.30). If you have ever thought about returning to study this is an ideal opportunity to hear their first-hand experiences and to explore the degree-level courses on offer at GBMET.

Grants & Funding: February 2022

Adur & Worthing Trust open the 2022 round of Creative Commissions which are small grants aimed at locally-based creative projects. Join our launch events on 1 February either online or in-person – use the links to book your place, and if you need any additional support for your application please contact joe.cox@adur-worthing.gov.uk to book a session on 2, 3, or 4 February (mornings only).

On 2 February Arts Council England and the National Lottery Heritage Fund will be here to give you the latest info about their grants programmes and also offering 1-to-1 support for your application (on-line option available for 1-to-1 sessions). BOOK HERE

One Day Python Bootcamp with Genius Brighton
5 & 6 February // 10.00 – 16.30 // £60 or £100

Budding programmers and games developers get started with Python at a 1-day intensive bootcamp aimed at 11-18 year olds. With experienced tutor Andrew from Genius Brighton you will be working on Raspberry Pi’s and learning about how they work too – with an option to take yours home!

This popular networking event is back from 7 January and the 7th of every month at the Brewhouse and Kitchen in Worthing. It’s a relaxed and friendly event organised by West End Gallery and is a great way to meet other local artists and creatives.

New Community Grants Programme

Community arts and culture groups are eligible to apply for up to £5000 from this new scheme from HospiceUK for projects which approach the subject of dying in an innovative or creative way.
