Pip Carter is a writer and illustrator based in Worthing. She first got excited about narratives as a child, making comics inspired by the Beano. More recently she has developed writing and illustrations for both picture books and a middle grade novel (currently seeking publication).
She studied on the MA in Sequential Design at the University of Brighton, a multidisciplinary course focusing on narrative. As a writer she has developed a fresh and unique voice with today’s children in mind. Her lively illustrations are created using both hand drawn and digital methods. Her writing and visual wit can at times be a little dark, which gives a comical contrast to her sweet childlike drawing style.
Pip’s love of stories comes from the belief that a good book can fire the imagination and take you anywhere.
