August looks a little bit different this month as the gallery is closed whilst it undergoes essential works to make Colonnade House more accessible and sustainable, thanks to our successful grant from Arts Council England.

In the meantime, we’ve been busy behind the scenes, preparing for future exhibitions as well as sitting down with ten local artists to find out more about their practice as we celebreate 10 years of Colonnade House. From painters, sculptors, illustrators and more, each artist is just one of the many wh’ve been a part of Colnnade House over the years. To see our mini artist stories, keep updated with our socials and read more about them over on our blog.

Workshop

Soon artists and makers, community groups and young people will be able to host and take part in workhops in our new, dedicated workshop space next door to Colonnade House.

If you are interested in hiring our new space for your own event or workshop, please get in touch!

Whilst the Gallery is closed, you can enjoy our window exhibition by We are Pollinators. The Wildflower Trail is a project that celebrates the beauty of wildflowers and pollinators.

Nature enthusiasts, artists, photographers and makers came together to create artwork that reflects a shared appreciation for the natural world and the importance of protecting it.
