Consultation Week
13 – 18 January 2025

We invite you to join us for a pivotal week as we chart a new path forward for Colonnade House. The week will be an opportunity to learn more about the challenges we’re facing, as well as celebrating our successes and shaping the future of the project. Each day of the Consultation Week will have specific themes, aims and events. The gallery will remain open throughout the week for drop-ins, where visitors can explore the projects story, share feedback, and contribute ideas.

Wonderful Workshops
20 – 25 January 2025

We’re gearing up for our Wonderful Workshops Weel. During the depths of Winter, there’s a chance to get creative, meet new people, and learn new skills. Local creatives and supporters of Colonnade House will be running workshops from the gallery with all ticket sales going towards supporting the Adur & Worthing Trust. Hello DODO Screen Printing Squeegee Club
20 January // 14.00 – 17.00 // £10

Breathe new life into your own clothes with Squeegee Club! Bring along an old t-shirt and use their pre-cut paper stencils and shapes to create a design which you will learn to screenprint with some guidance from Jam. Book onto the workshop here.

Nadia Chalk: Portrait Illustration Workshop

Sarah Edmonds: Playful Handmade Books & Zines

The Beauty of Collage: Create Your Own Masterpiece

Portfolio Reviews for Local Illustrators

This unique opportunity will offer budding illustrators and those working or studying in the field the time to talk through their portfolio, get advice on professional practice and chat through ideas with renowned illustrator Owen Davey. If you’re interested in a portfolio review, book here.

Peon Boyle:Paper Work

Join Peon Boyle for a morning playing with paper, collage and folding. In this workshop, you will use the gelli-plate and ink to make images and patterns on paper that you will later explore with folding techniques to create 3D objects. Book your place here.

Becky Edmunds: Photo Embroidery Workshop

Femigami: Fold a Feminist Icon

Join Femigami for this fun, relaxed and beginner friendly origami workshop where you can fold a feminist icon or inspiring person using the art of origami. John Bond: Storytime & Draw-along // Create a Picture Book Character

Marius Holtan: Again, and Again and?

Upcoming Exhibitions
Re-loved Worthing Style
Open until 11 January // 10.00 – 17.00 // Free

Re-loved Worthing Style brings together the ork instigated by Kathy Khol and Sally Lemsford with Stitch it, Don’t Ditch it sessions at CREW. Working with local people, local charity shops, and charities supported by a small grant from The Adur & Worthing Trust, they have addressed the impacts of the fast fashion industry. 

Steve Carroll’s Kolkata
21 January – 02 February // 10.00 – 17.00 // Free

Steve has been creating oil paintings and dry point prints inspired by his trips to Kolkata. Inspired by the visual and colourful culture, he will be exhibiting his experimental prints.
