Nick Fer M.A. (R.C.A)
Nick uses collage to explore an abstract and surreal world often combining machine imagery with other forms. He takes his material from a variety of sources including vintage magazines, using the aged quality and colours of the papers to create a unique personal vision. He prefers to work on a small scale so the viewer’s experience is more intimate.

Sarah Fer
As an artist living and working by the Adur estuary and the Sea, Sarah’s atmospheric paintings and delicate drawings record and capture the natural history of the estuary and local beaches and the environmental impact on them. Her techniques range from acrylics to graphite and inks. Sarah is fascinated by the quality and patterns in beach pebbles and random objects washed up by the storms.

Mathilde Blum
Mathilde is a potter who makes hand-built ceramics using coils and slabs. She creates small, one-off sculptures, pots and vessels. She likes Raku firing, wood and smoke firing or she fires to stoneware in her electric kiln in her home studio. The unpredictable nature of wood-firing and Raku adds an element of spontaneity to her work. Her wood-fired ceramics, fired to 1300°C over 50 hours in Oxford University’s kiln, are both frost-proof and watertight, while her Raku pieces are decorative forms with a unique finish. Each piece of Mathilde’s work reflects her craftsmanship, and her continuous exploration of the possibilities within ceramics.
