Wendy Barratt set up Drawing Room back in the spring of 2016, to bring regular life drawing sessions to her hometown of Worthing. Since then, the life drawing community has grown and Drawing Room now has four tutors who bring creative art sessions to Worthing every week.
“Our ethos is providing welcoming and friendly sessions as well as expert tuition so that anyone who comes through our doors – be they complete beginners or professional artists – can have the freedom, guidance and space to develop their practice and discover new ways of seeing and working”.
This exhibition shows you some of the work which goes on in the Drawing Room sessions by the tutors and students – be it a two minute sketch or a painting which has taken many hours. The work shows a wide range of experimentation, dedicated study and inspired thinking and they are proud to be able to show this collection of work which is just a small part of what goes on in the creative community.
