Eleonara Medwell: Callipygian

Callipygian (or Kallipygos in Greek) directs us to the Ancient Roman marble statue of the Callipygian Venus, meaning “Venus (or Aphrodite) of the beautiful buttocks”.

Eleonora Medwell is a British self-taught mixed media artist of Ukrainian origin. She works with acrylics, oil pastels and collage.

Her art is inspired by women’s beauty and sensuality, a subject she has been fascinated with since childhood.

Eleonora explores the essence of a woman in her art. She tells stories about inner feelings of a woman, harmony with the outer world  as well as with her soul.

Her artworks have been displayed in many exhibitions alongside professional artists in the UK, including OPEN 21 at Worthing Museum.

Open Tuesday – Saturday // 10.00 – 17.00
