Fiona Champion is a self-taught wildlife artist, with a particular love for big cats.  Her work is heavily inspired by several trips to Africa where she has been fortunate enough to walk with lions and cheetahs and play with their cubs.

Fiona has won several awards for her work, including ‘Best Painting’ and the ‘Worshipful Company of Painter Stainers Award’, both at the Mall Galleries. She has also been a three time finalist in the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year, and was accepted for the online exhibition on one occasion. As well as, receiving a commendation in the final of the BBC Wildlife Magazine’s Wildlife Artist of the Year 2013.

Fiona’s work has been exhibited frequently in London and across the South of England including, ART FOR ALL in Chichester. Fiona’s work is also in collections in the USA, Switzerland, New Zealand and Australia.

She has recently started to work in 3 dimensions and enjoys the extra challenge. This involves, producing work in bronze (foundry cast), clay and jesmonite (garden sculptures).

Fiona hopes that her work gives pleasure to others, and highlights the plight of the vulnerable species of our beautiful planet.
