Michael Harbour: High Tides

Green Tides is the partnership of around 40 friends and environmental volunteer groups across Adur & Worthing. Coming originally from a volunteer’s idea that came during the lockdown of Covid, they have crafted the Wildflower Trail. This maps the volunteer efforts, around council sites, and some private spaces, all who have dedicated time and space to making wildflower areas.

During summer 2024, residents across Adur & Worthing joined Green Tides to celebrate wildflowers and pollinators. They received lots of beautiful photos and creative endeavors which you can see on the website here. This display shows some of the pieces and represents the talent and efforts of interested residents and local artists – and thank everyone for their contributions.

This year, the Wildflower Trail is launching a series of walking trails, thanks to funding from Rampion Community Fund, via Sussex Community Foundation. These can all be downloaded from the website and Green Tides will be organising some guided tours of the trails, keep an eye out for these on their Facebook and Instagram page as well as searching for – Green Tides and The Wildflower Trail.
