Worthing’s playful printmakers hello DODO are very excited to announce their return to Colonnade House with their pop-up ‘hello DODO Land’ from July 24th to August 12th. Having put on two separate week long pop-ups in 2017 which attracted lots of attention from visitors both local and from far away, they now have a full three weeks this time around to bring their colourful puns to town!

There will be a strong emphasis on clothing at hello DODO Land this summer, with a large range of colourful and punny items for adults, kids and babies. hello DODO will be launching LOTS of brand-new designs and will also be introducing the ‘Rainbow Rail of DODO Specials’ which will feature exclusive pieces in all the colours of the rainbow, many of which will be very limited in numbers. There will also be classic DODO designs available such as ‘Who Run The World? Gulls’, ‘Get Lost’ and their ode to their home town ‘It’s a Worthing Thing’.

As well as clothing you will find screen printed posters, iron on patches, enamel pins, badges and new homeware from this design duo, with something fun to suit all budgets.

BACKGROUND:

hello DODO is Jam and Ali, husband and wife and playful printmakers from sunny Worthing. With a mutual love of fun and bold graphic design, they create bright (and often silly) artwork to brighten up any home and to make people smile! They are inspired by lots of things, but their favourites are bright colours, bold shapes, funny puns, lovely animals and seaside living.

hello DODO launched in 2011 and since then their range of products has grown massively; including screenprints, t-shirts, sweatshirts, tote bags, baby clothes, kids clothes, greetings cards, badges, pins, iron on patches and more which are all designed from their home studio. They also screenprint all of their own work using Preston, their homemade printing press, fuelled by tea and biscuits and often being distracted by their black pug Hero, who likes to sit on their feet whilst they print.

Since launching hello DODO’s bright and fun creations have been featured in VOGUE, Mollie Makes, Anorak, Inside Magazine, Vogue Bambini, Craft Seller, Caboodle, Pressing Matters and many more. They have also produced a set of limited edition designs for the British Travel Awards Ceremony, exhibited in Pick Me Up Graphic Arts Festival at Somerset House and won the Mollie Makes Collaboration Award.
