Colonnade House – Creative Hub is thrilled to welcome Jess Gill and her co-exhibitors Rob Wells and Rod Browning this March. These 3 artist makers met at East Beach Studios, the artist quarter next to Coast Cafe and possibly the best kept secret paradise in Worthing. Connected by their love of creating lighting and furniture through recycling, reusing and their ability to use nature as their guide, they decided to bring their creations to Colonnade House to exhibit them for all to see

Light Art by Jessica Gill

Jess is based at the East Beach Studios in Worthing. She combs the local beaches, forages in the forests and explores bric-a-brac sales both for materials and inspiration. Her work is proudly sustainable, being naturally sourced or upcycled. All the electrics are new and comply with current legislation. Humour and irreverence are strong themes at ‘Light Art’ and her playful approach to sculptural lighting attracts viewers of all ages.

Pallet Craft by Rob Wells

Hi my name is Rob and I first became interested in recycling for art by chance, I started to make furniture from an old pallet which I had for a delivery and was really surprised by how satisfying it was, I now use the pallets to make good quality pieces of furniture of my own design and commissioned work.

Lights by Rod Browning

Rod Browning designs and creates one off, and bespoke room lighting. Sculptured from locally sourced driftwood, and fitted with low energy L.E.D. bulbs, they are unusual and decorative room features with a nautical theme. Restored 50s/60s stage and theatre flood /spot lights are also available with a choice of L.E.D. lamps.
