Celebrating 10 years of Superstar Arts.
A registered charity founded in 2012, Superstar Arts provides creative projects for people with learning disabilities in Worthing and from the surrounding area. They strive to create meaningful opportunities to develop inspirational and unique ideas and build confidence and self-esteem by encouraging learning through experimentation, questioning and discovery.
Superstar artists design, paint and print their work for sale and exhibition, each painting pulling together participants’ specialities. They are collaborative pieces where one canvas will pass through the hands of a number of different people, the first starting with an interest in colour and mark making. The next person will respond, printing with pattern before the final characters or designs are screen printed over the other layers.
Designs are printed on paper, cards, notebooks, tea towels, tote bags and t-shirts, which can be purchased at their exhibition.
