This collection of work by Marina Leddy is titled ‘Primordial Means’. Through colours, patterns and shapes, it evokes a primal sense of how nature exists between states of growth and decay, and the beauty which exists throughout.
Created by Marina Leddy, an artist who has always been fascinated with the connection colour has with our thoughts, mood and feelings. Of seeing how a painting can evoke a reaction in our gut and our soul in a way that can be difficult to describe. She looks to explore that in her work, and the journey of creating an artwork is an exploration, leaving her with completed artwork that constantly surprises.
At present, her chosen medium is acrylic on paper and canvas with oil pastels and pen. She paints layer over layer using different colours and shapes, so that each time you look there is something new and unexpected to explore.
