27 May 2025 // 10.00 – 13.30 // Free // Drop-in (suggested £3 – £5 Donation)
Join the Colonnade House team and local artist Liz English for a group painting session in the gallery.
Starting with a blank canvas, together you will create a giant collaborative masterpiece. Using paint, ink & pen, families can join in the fun, and work together to unleash their inner Picasso.
Drop in across the session, stay as little or as long as you want and help add to the piece. This workshop is free, but where possible, we’re asking for donations to help support future workshops and events.
Let us know you are coming by booking your space here. You can drop in anytime between 10.30 – 13.30.
This is a family-friendly event – all children must be accompanied by parents/carers.
About Liz English
Liz English works mainly in acrylics on canvas or paper and plays with adding free form embroidery on top of pictures to add texture and form. Increasingly, she likes to work on a large scale to create a world you can tumble into. “Inspiration for a painting can come from a hundred different things. For me it’s always about colours, how they work together, and where they take me to”.
Liz also works with the creative team at SOLD, a charity that works with adults with learning differences and/or autism, helping them to commercially develop their skills.
