Pizazz
Textiles Group
We are 7 Textile Artists, with each a different approach to our art. We have been together since 2002, still developing and learning and mainly giving freely to our various inspirations.
Cobi Erskine is our Black Work queen, and mostly counted work. Creating really amazing pieces.
Lindsey Gibson is by far the best with anything felt, creating such outstanding flower arrangements.
Pat Cooke is our oldie worldly, maker of delightful bags and hangings with little pieces of lace and lovely stitching.
Ruth Walker is our machine embroidery expert, creating perfect design for, bowls, bags and vignettes.
Viv Scrase makes wonderful bowls using an unusual technique which shows off the colours of the hand dyed fabric she uses.
Eileen Amos is by far the most experienced member with her delightful appliqué and machine embroidery which she uses for her lovely bags and cushions.
Viviane Proyer is an all rounder, creating hangings where flowers with various techniques. Always incorporating something new.
Because we have extensive experience of Textiles and various approaches to Embroidery and Quilting/Patchwork we are able to produce work that covers an enormous spectrum of known techniques, and also venture into the realm of paper craft, wire and beads.
Visit Pizazz from Tuesday 26th September from 10am at Colonnade House – Creative Hub.
