Suzy Riot is a printmaker, based here in Worthing on the South Coast. Her work features distinct, bold, limited edition linocut prints inspired by animals and the natural world. Suzy has a background in illustration, obtaining a post graduate diploma in narrative and sequential design from Brighton University, and has always been fascinated with storytelling and folklore as a means of communicating ideas.
Her passion for the animal kingdom and nature is reflected in her anthropomorphic portraits, expressive characters and heartfelt moments captured with her pets.
The exploration of all things sociopolitical, and the challenges of living in a rapidly changing world, both socially and technologically, are big themes in her work.
These weighty subjects however are expressed with playful humour and rebellious abandon.
Suzy also enjoys teaching printmaking and runs private workshops locally.
