Walter Wall: Constant Inconsistencies

Red lines have been talked about a lot recently. 

Constants:

• • • all paintings are a a metre square
    • each painting includes more than one red line

Inconsistencies:

• • • the quality of the red lines
    • the number of red lines
    • their role as focus, boundary or mark
    • the colour and composition of the context or background 

Walter’s aim is to explore processes that create aesthetic entities which may cause surprise, exhilaration or simple pleasure.
