Mark Ford: Users first. Do digital like the government.
You may think that your site has a big audience, but no one has to serve more people in the UK than the government. Every department within government is working hard to improve their online services by putting the needs of the user at the heart of delivery. How are they doing this, and what can you learn from their approach to improve the way you deliver your own services?
About Mark Ford: Mark has worked on the web since 1999. For the last 9 years he’s been a contractor working for a range of clients including banks, airlines and government departments. When he’s not got his face stuck in a laptop you’ll find Mark out with the dog, or reluctantly doing DIY.
John Dalziel: All the things. An introduction to Amazon Web Services.
Amazon Web Services is the modern web developers toolbox. Inside you’ll find a huge range of services from storage and computing through to exotic tools for Machine Learning, Virtual Reality and IOT. Join John Dalziel for a whistlestop tour and find out how you can use make use of cloud services in your own online projects.
About John Dalziel: John is a Worthing Digital organiser and lifelong technophile. He was active in the Atari demoscene and as an Indie Developer in the early UK video games industry. For the last 20 years he’s worked with web technologies for a variety of studios, startups and London ad agencies.
