Applications and expressions of interest to exhibit at the Seafront Gallery are now open. An opportunity for artists to show their work to a wide audience on Worthing seafront.

The outdoor gallery features five stone-filled gabion plinths and is situated a short walk west of Worthing Pier on the promenade. This is an area which attracts a high footfall throughout the year, having an estimated 200,000 visitors a month.

Whilst there is no hire charge for the gallery, artists will need to cover all production costs of the twenty aluminium dibond prints, attachment rails and installation.

The total approximate costs for printing 20, 90x90cm aluminium dibond prints, attaching rails and installing is around £2500. Hirers are welcome to source their own printers and to work with us regarding the installation of the work. The space can be hired as a solo or group exhibition and exhibition hires will be from 6 months to a year.

The previous exhibition featured work from a selection of photographers from the Photo Fringe 2022 Eco Open call where artists were invited to respond to the question ‘How can photography make a difference to the climate crisis?’. We spoke with Photo Fringe festival director Claire Wearn about the exhibition.

Outdoor exhibitions give everyone the chance to see art, be inspired, start a conversation and to find out more about the exhibiting artists. This exhibition space provides a great opportunity to share your work, stories and more with the general public.

Since our first exhibition at the Seafront Gallery in 2020, we have received so much positive feedback from passers by, both in and out of the art world through it’s reach in person and online. We are certain that this space provides the opportunity to get your work seen by a wide audience.
