Spring IS around the corner, though it doesn’t always feel that way this month. So while gardeners get busy planting, creative people get busy with ideas. Here are some seeds of inspiration.

Our World in Our Words
Exhibition // 2 – 28 February // Viewable in windows and online

In 2020, Shoreham -based Apron Collective sent packs of art materials to young people and invited them to express their experiences of the pandemic. The result is an outpouring of words and images that contain hope for the future even while young people are feeling burdened with anxiety and fear. Messages of hope, support, understanding and humour help us all to get through, and they will be on show in our gallery windows right through February, plus you can see more on Instagram.

Proposal for the Gabions

In our first Covid summer, outdoor exhibitions were a real success and Worthing Borough Council invested in building five stone-filled gabions on the seafront as a new public gallery space. Since October the gabions have hosted the winning images from the Photo Fringe Open20Solo award and now we are looking ahead for future exhibitions. There is no hire fee planned for 2021, but you will have to meet the costs of installation and for production of images.

Details are being finalised, so for an informal chat please contact richard.manders@adur-worthing.gov.uk
