“NEW GALLERY & CREATIVE SPACE IN THE HEART OF WORTHING”

Colonnade House has been open for almost 6 months now and it’s been a whirlwind. We’ve been engaging with the public, with artists renting the gallery, hosting pop up shops, workshops, a series of talks and not to mention managing the three floors of creative studio space above the gallery! Though so much has already happened it feels as if we are just getting started, this year’s calendar is full of exciting projects, hires and events that we are itching to share but as this is our first blog post it’s probably better to start with an introduction rather than a ‘What’s Next’.

Colonnade House Creative Hub is a partnership between Worthing Borough Council and Adur and Worthing Charitable Trust with significant investment from the Department for Communities and Local Government’s Coastal Communities Fund. The building is dedicated to being a hub for the creative community in Worthing, providing space and support for creative businesses and professional gallery space for a variety of artists, makers and creatives. As well as providing space and support, Colonnade House is committed to sharing news and linking to many of the other creative ventures popping up in Worthing. If you have something that you’d like us to shout about or are from a venue that you’d like featured on our HUB PAGE please send me an email at Richard.manders@adur-worthing.gov.uk

We have welcomed a range of hugely talented creatives into studio space at Colonnade House. Our first interview coincided with tenant and comic book artist Edward Bentley’s exhibition SKATE OR DIE and can be viewed here/below:
