Jenni Watson: Transience – A Continuation
04 – 09 November // 10.00 – 17.00
Jenni Watson has been continuing her work Transience after a successful solo exhibition in Gallery two at Colonnade House in July. Painting at a larger scale, Jenni continues to explore and evoke feelings of intrigue and impermanence in her abstract paintings inspired by her Husbands photographs of old, worn, painted wooden doors.
Roots to Independence – The SAND Project Showcase
04 – 09 November// 10.00 – 17.00
Enjoy a vibrant showcase of creativity as the trainees of the SAND Project transform the gallery with their artworks from paintings to screenprinting, photography and more.
Their exhibition celebrates the creativity, resilience and personal growth of young people aged 16-25 who are on a journey toward meaningful, independent lives.

Matthew King: The Drapery Falls

The Drapery Falls is a collection of paintings that illustrate fragments of a journey taken in the dark.
Influenced by the tradition of oil painting, Matthew King explores the human condition in his enigmatic paintings and drawings.
Conkers Bonkers – Carolyn b. 1967 – With Love
11 -16 November // 10.00 – 17.00
Carolyn has spent the past year collecting the shapes and colours of nature, mixing her colours as close to the leaves as possible, resulting in a collection of intricate and intriguing paintings that show the flora and fauna of Worthing.
In Darkness: Colour & Light
18 – 23 November // 10.00 – 17.00
Diana Jazwinski, Novak James and Ian Paterson all unite through elements of darkness that feature in each of their practices. Whether through colour palettes or the use of darkness itself, they will be showcasing paintgs and photography together for their group show.
Diana Jazwinski is known for her beautifully arranged florals photographed on a black background to illuminate their intricate textures, details and colours.
Novak James is an expressionist painter of portraits and figurative work,, emphasizing colour, shape and texture in each of his pieces.
Ian Paterson creates a sense of calm and space focusing on interpretations of street corners in Brighton by lamplight.
Tales of Two Cities
25 – 29 November // 10.00 – 17.00
Merging landscape and portraiture, Matt and Bryony are both inspired by the world around them. Telling stories through photography, you can experience the tales of two cities in their upcoming exhibition.
Matt Humphrey is a photographer and visual artist based in Portsmouth and for the last twenty years, he has been shooting intimate portraits and behind the scenes photos for entertainment productions and companies.
Bryony Shearmur is a multimedia visual artist, London born and LA-based who has been working as a photographer and artist for as long as she can remember.
Melissa Graham: Mixed Aspirations
25 – 29 November // 10.00 – 17.00
Embodying nature through earthy colours and the use of natural materials for decoration, Melissa Graham is going to be filling the gallery with her functional ceramics to bring a close to our November exhibitions.

Apron Community Farm Crowdfunder
In 2020, Apron transformed a scrap of disused land into the Apron Community Garden. They now have the opportunity to turn a neglected equestrian site into a regenerative community farm.
