October brings us a new month full of inspiration and a buzz of creativity as we welcome more artists, artist talks and creative workshops to the gallery.
Celebrating Black History Month and the return of the Photo Fringe to Worthing, we’re welcoming Gil Mualem-Doron, the Socially Engaged Art Salon and the BPOC Photographers Collective for some thought-provoking exhibitions on home and belonging.

Marina Leddy: Primordial Means

Fascinated with the connection that colour has with our thoughts, moods and feelings, Marina creates artworks using colours, shapes and a variation of techniques, painting layer over layer, creating interesting forms and compositions that creates unexpected results each time.
Walter Wall: Over Time
Exhibition // 01 – 06 October // 10.00 – 17.00
Having explored the creative process in wonderful ways over the years, Walter has worked big and small, bright and colourful. However he works, Walter’s work is always playful.
His latest exhibition presents a collection of paintings that have accumulated over time.
Outlooks on the English Countryside
Exhibition // 08 – 19 October // 10.00 – 17.00
The Socially Engaged Art Salon and the BPOC Photographers Collective have been questioning Englishness and who belongs in the countryside.
Looking at reclaiming and reimagining these spaces, they use photography as a tool to challenge dominant ideas and attitudes.
The Heart of Darkness – Landscape Photography & Decolonial Practices
Exhibition // 08 – 19 October // 10.00 – 17.00
The Heart of Darkness by Gil Mualem-Doron presents a series of collaborations with Palestinian communities and individuals who have been uprooted from their village and land in 1948 and who have been internal refugees ever since.
These projects have been formed through collaborative photography sessions, using mixed media, photography and video to depict the remnants of their homes.
Creative Waves: Colourful Collaborations

Creative Waves are bringing inspiration to the gallery this October as they showcase work from local artists and makers for their exhibition Colourful Collaborations. You’ll also be able to get involved in a buzz off creative activities and workshops that focus on Creative Waves current projects.

Basia Asztabska: Photography & Graphics

Using colour and shape, creating contrasts between the organic and man made, Basia takes her inspiration from the beauty of nature and the architecture of cityscapes to create bold and eye-catching artworks.
