The Mark You Make

Local artist Nora Young will be working with ceramicist Wendy Palmer to share their love of mark making, Activity will take place during meetings at the beach, collaborations with sound artist Steve Whitford & local exhibition visits. The project will end with a celebration of the work produced at Heene Community Centre.

About 

The project provides an opportunity to gather regularly to consider mark-making, work beside each
other and step outside our comfort zone of ways of working. The group will begin in the outdoor environment of Worthing Beach at low tide between Splash Point and The Pier. Each meet will be approximately an hour followed by a gathering point near the end of the session to consider experiences.

During the ‘on the beach’ time participants will be moving around the landscape – considering the marks all around us – natural and human – to gather those marks with a range of material and resources – maybe experience them by mark making on the sand – no marks are to be left in the environment.
