Peas & Needles: I Made it myself
Workshops // 6 – 11 December // Various Times // £20 – £25

Fancy making some unique decorations for your home, friends or family? Book onto a craft session run by Lucy Rowan. ‘I Made it Myself’ is your invitation to do just that in this fun-filled festive week of craft workshops for all. From weaving, to macrame, to punch needle, there’s something for everyone. Artist and educator Ellie Bond will also be there to guide you through the making of her beautiful bird decorations.

Our annual pop-up shop is back! Featuring artwork and handmade crafts from local artists and charities. We have John BondDiane BaileySam MurdochMark HumphreysAlison Tyldesley, Carolyn McConnell, Peon BoyleIrma’s Craft and Wendy Palmer bringing a selection of prints, paintings, and tabletop gifts to the gallery this December. We are pleased to invite Men in ShedsFigment Arts and Superstar Arts and more for a wonderfully community festive Christmas. Come and support our local artists and makers.

Space to Make: Festive Tech Workshop

This winter, get creative at our Space to Make Festive Tech Workshop. From tech to craft, come and personalise your own gifts. We’re transforming Gallery 2 into a pop-up tech workshop. Visit us & drop in on 15 December and use our Ender 3D printer & Glowforge laser cutter and watch your designs come to life. Make key-rings, coasters & baubles, the possibilities are endless.

Walter Wall: Fragments 2

Expect colour & texture on a grand scale. Local artist Walter Wall is back at Colonnade House with his latest collection of work; ‘Fragments 2’. As well as being open on the lead up to Christmas, you will be able to continue enjoying Walter’s work through the windows of Colonnade House until the new year.

Small Business Grants

Congratulations to those that were successful in the first round of the Adur & Worthing councils, in partnership with Adur and Worthing Business Partnership Business Grants. The next round is open with a panel review taking place early 2023:

Small Business Grant – Available to local micro businesses with up to 10 employees, these grants of up to £2,500, require a 50% match funding contribution.

Worthing Based Businesses – there has been a large takeup for this grant, if you are planning on applying, we encourage you to get your application in ASAP.

Adur Based Businesses – there is still a significant pot of funding available for businesses based in Adur, please share this with any businesses you know in the Adur area.

Creative Commissions
Applications open 24 January and close midnight 5 March 2023.

Start 2023 with funding from the Adur & Worthing Trust!

The Adur & Worthing Trust are excited to announce the launch of the next round of Creative Commissions small grant funding, with grants of £500 – £1000 up for grabs. The Trust wants to commission more works of art – these could be in any shape or form, for example a painting, a comedy performance, a community participation dance project, a piece of new music, a film, a literary work or a new exciting event. The Trust funded nine exciting projects in 2022 and are inviting applications from across Adur & Worthing.

Applications open on 24 January, with a virtual & in-person launch at Colonnade House, featuring live Q&A with the Chair of the Trust alongside an exhibition & showcase of funded projects in 2022.  Another launch event is also planned to be held at Freedom Works – Fabric, Lancing, on 30 January, 18.00 – 19.30.
