Creative Talks! with Ainoa Burgos Gonzales, Paul Kemp & Becky Edmunds
7 September // Starts at 13.30 // Free
Our second edition of ‘Creative Talks!’ features 3 local creatives who have recently received Creative Commissions small grants funding from The Adur & Worthing Trust. Ainoa, Paul & Becky will be talking about their current projects, their creative process & what’s next.
Ainoa Burgos Gonzalez: Plastic Era
Ainoa is a multidisciplinary artist who encompasses sculpture, photography, installation and performance within her creative work. This new project looks at the relationship between humans, plastic and the environment.
Paul Kemp’s work grew from a push to connect with his new home of Worthing. Using his camera as a visual device he set out to explore and discover his local surroundings. Paul has traversed the area, seeking to capture the infinite details of place and the particular features that make Worthing.
Becky Edmunds: Those Forgotten
Experimental embroidery artist Becky Edmunds will ask residents of Adur & Worthing to donate old photographs of unknown individuals. She’ll choose up to 10 of these photographs and transform them into modern artworks using thread, which will be exhibited in Autumn 2024.
You can also get involved; Whether you’ve spoken in public many times or up for giving it a go – each speaker has 15 minutes to talk about their projects, practice & process.
Come along and talk about all things creative.
If you do not want to talk, you are welcome to join, listen & ask questions to our speakers.
