The team will run through our checklist on how to get ready for your next exhibition. Whether you’ve exhibited before or it’s your very first time; this session will take you through the steps on how to plan, curate, promote & evaluate your exhibition.

Funding Surgery for Creatives in Adur & Worthing

Join local investment officer Sam Gritt from Adur & Worthing Councils, for a guided tour through local grant funding that can be accessed by creative businesses, arts organisations and artists. Including how to get the best out of the free Grants Online resource and tips on what makes a good funding bid.

Want to learn more about National Lottery Project Grants? How can you apply to Arts Council England?
Musicians, playwrights, sculptors, dancers, project coordinators and for any individuals & community organisations developing arts and cultural projects. Join this introductory session with staff from Arts Council England at Colonnade House, Worthing.

Launches on 16 January 2024
The Adur & Worthing Trust are excited to announce the launch of the next round of Creative Commissions small grant funding, with grants of £500 – £1000 up for grabs. The Trust wants to commission more works of art – these could be in any shape or form, for example a painting, a comedy performance, a community participation dance project, a piece of new music, a film, a literary work or a new exciting event. The Trust funded ten exciting projects in 2023 and are inviting applications from across Adur & Worthing.
Applications open on 16 January, with a virtual & in-person launch at Colonnade House, featuring live Q&A with the Chair of the Trust.

Portfolio Chats for local Illustrators

Initiated by local illustrator Owen Davey, his virtual portfolio chats have matched illustrators from around the world with mentors, with the aim being to encourage diversity in the sector. These sessions are for people from marginalised and oppressed backgrounds. If you are working, studying or a budding illustrator working in any field – bring your portfolio and sign up for a free 1 to 1 portfolio chat.
Each FREE half-hour chat is a one-to-one conversation with somebody in the industry. Talk through your portfolio, get advice on professional practice or chat through some ideas.
