Artists across the town will be opening their doors for three weekends this month. Pick up your free guide from Colonnade House and explore! Many houses offer extras like home made cakes and art activities – there’s even a one-person cinema screening films by locally-based animators.
At Colonnade House, we have two exhibitions – ‘Sussex Printmakers’ and ‘Ruth Mulvie’ – that will be open during the week as well as at the weekends. Why not start your journey at Colonnade House?
4 – 9 June
10.00 – 17.00 // Free Entry
We begin the month with a group show by eleven artists who are exploring experiences of motherhood through painting, printmaking, 3D work, poetry and more. Reflective and thought provoking, this exhibition will challenge some of the myths of this common experience through recognising that each individual finds their own way through it.
They will be collecting short written contributions from visitors throughout the week for an on-going collaborative piece and you can meet the artists at their late opening on Friday 7 from 19.00 where there will also be live poetry performances.
11 – 30 June (closed Mondays)
10.00 – 17.00 // Free Entry
Ruth’s new collection of paintings will be bringing colour, sunshine and a retro feel to the gallery for three weeks. Taking inspiration from well-loved local landmarks Ruth’s paintings and prints are exuberant and joyful and guaranteed to bring life to any wall, and we are delighted to welcome her back to Worthing after shows in Brighton and art fairs at home and abroad.
11 – 30 June (closed Mondays)

Peon will also be giving printing demonstrations on 15, 22 and 29 June at 11.00 and 14.00.
