What is hidden inside Stewart Richard’s Mermaids Purse? Look closer if you want to reveal the secrets of this exquisitely detailed work and others in the group show ‘Four Views’ which runs until Sunday 4 November. The four artists met at Northbrook Metropolitan College and each has a very different view of the world – from paintings that evoke wind and weather, to sculpture made from detritus on the beach.

Josephine Jones: Flowers and Fantasy

INK: Autumn Exhibition by Sussex Printmakers & Friends
This is one of the best exhibitions of contemporary printmaking in Sussex with affordable work by local artists including linocut, collograph, monoprint, etching and more. Themed with the season, you will find images of local landscapes and intricate studies of form and colour. Dell Quay Artists: Making a Mark
Seeing out November, five artists take over Colonnade House for two weeks and will be making their mark on Worthing. Part of the Chichester-based Dell Quay Artists Group they each have a distinctive way of seeing – not just the ‘real’ world but the world as perceived in their mind’s eye where perceptions are formed by memory and association.
