Walter Wall returns to Colonnade House with a new collection of exuberant and colourful canvases. Paint is a fascinating subject in itself and Walter explores it through swirls, drips, blends and… splatters! Celebrating the sketchbook for its own merits, this exhibition is the result of an open competition for local artists set up by Colonnade House studio tenant Nicky Bell. The sketchbook can be a diary, a thinking tool, a test bed and a place of free expression, and this show will be a privileged insight into what is usually a private space.
